The Real Organic Project is a farmer-led, grassroots movement with a mission to bring organic back to its roots: plants grown in healthy living soil, animals raised on well-managed pasture, labor protections for farm workers, and integrity. ROP manages a no-cost add-on certification for certified organic farmers, produce a podcast where we interview organic and regenerative farmers, journalists, climate experts, policy makers, and chefs, and write a weekly newsletter about what is happening in our food system.

ROP has 1,000 farms who are certified, and we want to help keep growing that number. They report "We see this as a movement of people, and the more we can build our partnerships and farmer representation, the more energy we have to create positive change together in organic."

How ROP certification program works: The application takes 20-30 minutes to complete. You will receive an initial farm inspection (1-2 hours), reapply for certification each year (10 minutes), and be reinspected every 5 years at your organic inspection. Join the Movement!
